A well set up engine is key to performance in any machine, be it car or bike. At Specials, we undertake what is known as blueprinting an engine to unleash its originally designed capabilities.
Blueprinting an engine is machining the engine components back to the original blue print design. This original blue print design is what the engine manufacture laid out, before putting the engine into mass production. In short, the closer everything is on an engine, the faster it becomes.
In large corporations, Bike and engine designers create a unique, once off engine plan which the production model will be based on. Once turned over to be mass produced, the tolerance levels have both plus and minus variants. These tolerance levels are what makes a factory produced engine financially viable for the open market.
Simply put, the bike you buy of the shelf is only at 60 – 70% capacity of what its really capable off.
